Download and Installation Instructions

For the SeaDogs Add-On Installer

Three Simple Steps....

Step 1: Download

Download all the files into the same directory on your HD.

1.A.  If you used Option 1, this would just be one file: SD111ALL.EXE.

1.B.  If you used Option 2, this would be two files: SD111P-ALL.EXE (The Add-On Installer), and SDM1-ALL.EXE (Music).

1.C.  If you used Option 3, this would be nine files: SD111P1.EXE, SD111P2.SEA, SD111P3.SEA (The three files for the Add-On Installer), and SDM1-1.EXE, SDM1-2.SEA, SDM1-3.SEA, SDM1-4.SEA, SDM1-5.SEA, SDM1-6.SEA (The six files for the music).

Possible Errors:  Some browsers, like Netscape will not "automatically" download the .SEA files.  If this is the case, use a download manager, like GetRight ( http://www.getright.com).  After installing GetRight, right click on the download link and select "Download with GetRight" and it will download the .SEA files.  GetRight also lets you resume interrupted downloads without having to start your download over at the beginning.

Step 2:  Install

Extract these files to install the Add-On Installer Program and/or Music files onto your computer.  It will run the installation program for the Add-On Installer or the Music.  Go with the default installation folder C:\Program Files\SDAddOns.  Do NOT install it into the same directory as your SeaDogs game.

2.A   For the single file from Option 1, double click on SD111ALL.EXE to start the installation program.

2.B   For the two files from Option 2, you need to run each file and install them.  Start first with the file with the Add-On Installer, SD111P-ALL.EXE.  Double-click on that file and install the Add-On Installer program into the default installation folder.  Then run the installation program for the Music files by double-clicking on SDM1-ALL.EXE.  Be sure that the music is installed into the same folder into which you installed the Add-On Installer program (which is why using the default folder is the easiest).

2.C   For the multiple installation files from Option 3, first run the executable file for the three Add-On Installer archive files, SD111P1.EXE.  This will start the installation program and install all three of the Add-On Installer files (SD111P1.EXE, SD111P2.SEA, SD111P3.SEA ).  Use the default installation folder.  Then run the executable file for the six Music archive files, SDM1-1.EXE.  This will start the installation program and install all six of the Music files (SDM1-1.EXE, SDM1-2.SEA, SDM1-3.SEA, SDM1-4.SEA, SDM1-5.SEA, SDM1-6.SEA). Be sure that it is installed into the same folder into which you installed the Add-On Installer program (the default folder is the easiest).

Possible Errors:  "Insert Disk" Errors:  This means one of three things:

(1)   Either all of the multi-part installation files are NOT in the same folder;

(2)   The name of the .SEA files were changed during the download (if you inadvertently hit an extra key when prompted where to download); or

(3)   One of the multi-part installation files did not download correctly.

Workarounds: If you've confirmed that the problem is not (1) or (2), then re-download the file which corresponds with the "disk" you are prompted to insert (for example, if installing the Add-On Installer and your prompted to "Insert Disk 2", then download SD111P2.SEA again), and re-install.

Step 3:  Run!

Run the Add-On Installer Program.

Once the Add-On Installer Program has been Installed, it will create a folder in the Windows Start Menu, under Programs, called "SeaDogs Add-Ons".  Click on the "SeaDogs Add-On Installer" Icon to start the Add-On Installer Program.

Select and Install the particular Add-Ons you wish.

Note that if you have not installed the music files, you can still install the SeaDogs Jukebox Add-On, but you will not be able to install "Wanderer's Mix" of music files.

After exiting the Add-On Installer program, click on the "View Quickstart File" icon to pull up a readme file that will tell you what to do to in your SeaDogs game to play each Add-On that you've installed.  You may want to print out the Quickstart File to help you remember how to begin each Add-On.
