SeaDogs Mods
The SeaDogs modding community created several mods for the game. The mods are bundled together in an "Add-On Installer Program" that allows them to be installed or changed in any combination with a simple click of the mouse. No modding experience is necessary!
There are two releases of the Sea Dogs Mods:
Version 1.11
Version 1.11 has 29 mods, over 10,000 downloads, and is very stable (even with all the mods installed). (Filesize: 50MB. Last Update: 5-3-03.)
Version 1.12
Version 1.12 has 31 mods (plus many improvements to the other 29 mods), about 1,000 downloads, and many extras - the official patch, moding tools, etc. (as the "final release" of SeaDogs mods). Unfortunately, after thousands of hours of playtesting, it still has an "overloading" bug that can make the game unplayable if too many mods are installed and the modded game is played for too long. (Filesize: 100MB. Last Update: 8-15-04.)

Dailup Connection? Use a Download Manager!
If you have a hard time downloading large
files, you should consider using a download manager like GetRight, which allows you to resume interrupted
downloads without starting over. If you use Netscape Navigator, or any other
browser that has a hard time getting these files to download, install GetRight,
right click on the download links and select the "Download With
GetRight" option. Downloading this way will solve most problems.
