Hosehead’s SeaDogs Add-On Installer

Here’s the 29 Add-Ons that are currently in the Installer:

 

Campaigns

 

1.                  Ellaybe, by Hosehead the Bloody and MacRaith

 

A new campaign about the Legion of Independent Buccaneers, a brotherhood of trade and escort captains on Ellaybe Island.  In addition to the full-length campaign, there are 25 new side quests and 64 repeatable missions. 30 characters from the SeaDogs forum appear as “guest stars.”  It takes 40 to 60 hours to complete.

 

2.                  The King of Port Royal, by Couchcaptain Charles

 

A new campaign that starts with Nicolas outlawed by King James, and on the run for his life.   With only a tartana and a pair of trusted friends, Nicolas must fight for survival and claw his way back, building his own independent island empire!  This campaign takes from 8 to 24 hours to complete, and is best played as a "prequel" to the 4 main SD campaigns.

Quests

 

1.            Blackbeard! by Black Jack Incognito

 

This is a new quest to hunt down Blackbeard.  It takes anywhere from 2 to 12 hours to play.  You can choose lightweight enemies or class 1 enemy ships.  Lots of fun extras, too!

 

2.            Doublecross The Slavetraders, by Couchcaptain Charles

 

A new quest to escort a slave ship to El Caimano, which can snowball into a lot of action!  It takes anywhere from 1 to 4 hours to play and may be repeated as a trade run.

 

3.         Objective: Marijn! by Black Jack Incognito & Hosehead the Bloody

 

A new quest to hunt down Duke Marijn, with a few “guest appearances” by characters from the SD forum.  It can take 4 to 12 hours to play, with lightweight or class 1 enemies.

 

4.         Revenge! by Predator

 

A new quest to rescue a nobleman & his daughter from the same Don who captured and imprisoned Nicolas on his first voyage.  It can take 2 to 8 hours to play, with easy enemies or class 1 ships.  A translation of the original Russian quest from the Corsairs site (http://seadogs.igray.ru).

 

Officers

 

1.                  Doctor McCoy Surgeon, by Black Jack Incognito

 

Doctor Lynyrd McCoy is available at the Gray Sails Tavern.  “I’m a surgeon, not a pirate!”

 

2.                  Po Billy First Mate, in memory of Captain William Kidd

 

An experienced captain is marooned on Marina, and is willing to sign on as first mate.  His skills are higher than most captains!

 

3.                  Pugwash First Mate, by Black Jack Incognito

 

A new first mate, Pugwash, is waiting at the Highrock tavern for a bargain price.  Stop those blasted coffee runs and get right down to the business of piratin’!

 

4.                  Zalpfer Rehire Patch, by Black Jack Incognito

 

Allows Albrecht Zalpfer to be rehired as a Master Carpenter after he is delivered from Highrock to Tendales.

 

Performance Patches

 

1.                  Gun Patch, by Team Warsteiner (Clutch Marauder and Couchcaptain Charles).

 

Allows new gun options to be added. Currently, there are two options:

 

(1)       Carronades Patch.

 

Replaces the 16pdr guns with 48pdr short-range "smasher guns" and makes small adjustments to the 12 & 24pdrs.

 

(2)   1841 Guns Patch.

 

Replaces the 12 pdr guns with 42 pdr "smasher guns"; replaces the 16pdr guns with 64 pounder "8 inch shell guns"; and replaces the 24pdr guns with 32 pdr "long range guns".  Also adds new “shell” ammo.

 

 

2.                  Realism Patch RP1.02X1 Beta, by Orzel

 

The small portion of Orzel’s famed “Realism Patch”, that allows no sailing against the wind.

 

3.                  Shipping Lanes and Battle Zones, by Couchcaptain Charles

 

Creates "at sea" encounters with a logical relation to the gameworld: merchants in proper shipping lanes and warships in sensible battlezones, with more frequent multi-national / pirate "battles in progress." Characters at varioius ports reveal specific details of the new system. 

 

4.                  Speed Patch, by Beery

 

Adjusts the relative speeds of the ships to a more realistic level.

 

5.            Treasure Fleet Triangle Patch, by Rodney

 

Fills the upper left-hand corner of the Archipelago with Treasure Fleets and Armadas ripe for the picking!

 

6.            Wind Patch, by Captain Hammered

 

Increases the average windspeed in the Archipelago, causing all ships to go faster and perform better when Orzel's RP1.02 X1 Beta (no sailing against the wind) Patch and Beery's Speed Patch are installed.

The Invalid at Shark Island gives you a big Reputation Boost!

 

2.                  Mapopen Patch, by Black Jack Incognito

 

Opens up the whole map for you!

 

3.                  Quickstart Your Naval Career Patch, by Couchcaptain Charles

 

The Highrock Admiralty Clerk has several Naval Commissions, under the table, to let Nicolas start the game with a variety of different ships.

 

4.                  Shipyard Patch, by Black Jack Incognito

 

Lets you buy any ship you want, provided that your class is high enough to sail it.

 

Training & Practice Mods

 

1.               Battlegenerator, by Couchcaptain Charles

 

The Worker at Dead Island reveals his true identity, and a mini-campaign of missions for Nick.  A great tutorial on ship tactics!

 

2.           Fencing School, by Couchcaptain Charles

 

The Highrock Townhall guard tells Nicolas about the Archipelago’s fencing school, where Nicolas can train against a variety of opponents!

 

Other Patches & Mods

 

 

1.               Bribe the Avilia Fortcommander Patch, by Couchcaptain Charles

 

Gets you past the Spanish Fort at Granda Avilia, and gets you a duel with the Fortcommander if you push him too far!

 

2.               Coastguard vs. Coastraider, by Couchcaptain Charles

 

Adds National Coastguard ships and Pirate Raiders to the local traffic around the big islands, which can be avoided or engaged for fun and/or profit!

 

3.       Crow-In-The-Hole Action Patch, by MacRaith

 

The Archipelago’s most popular pastime is fully “enabled” for Molly at Highrock, and her new associate, Rebecca at Tendales.  And Rebecca may have a proposition of her own for a respectable pirate!

 

4.       Junkbonder Patch, by Couchcaptain Charles

 

Bond salesmen invade Highrock, Dead Island, and Belflor, selling speculative bonds that can reap a years’ worth of coffee runs in gold, or several years worth of unpredictable sorrows!

 

5.       Onshore Action Patch, by Couchcaptain Charles

 

Adds new encouters and onshore duels with local characters on Highrock, Belflor, Isle d'Orange, El Caimano, Gray Sails, and Shark Island.

 

6.       Sea Dogs Jukebox, by Wanderer

 

Allows new .mp3 music files to be substituted for the original music files in the game, either with pre-configured mixes of multiple music files, or manual file-by-file insertion of specific tracks.  Includes 17 new music files compiled by Wanderer.

 

7.         Surak’nar’s Shipyard, by Duke Surak’nar

 

A new shipwright, Duke Surak’nar, arrives at Gray Sails with several new ships for sale, designed by the greatest shipwrights in the Archipelago.  But Nicolas must first “earn” a spot on the client list.  There are currently 15 new ship classes available at the shipyard :
